American Political Science Association (APSA) Style
According to the style manual for political science published by the American Political Science Association or APSA in 1993, to point out the source of borrowed information, parenthetical citations should be used within the text.

Moreover, the adopter of APSA style should give a list of all of the references cited in his or her paper at the end.
Type of citation
What you should do
Basic form Insert the name of the author(s) and the year of publication in parentheses following the quote or idea. If you are using a direct quote, a page number might be needed.
Citing an entire article or book Omit the page numbers if you are referring to the entire article or book.
Author's name in sentence If you use the author's name in your sentence, place only the date in parentheses.

For complete list of formatting guides, see the manual. We cannot give away all of the formatting information as giving away the information will be breach of the copyrights APSA has for the manual. APSA sells the manual and is the sole eligible entity to do so.
