Say No to Plagiarism
Plagiarism refers to copying someone else’s writing and including it in your own writing either as it is or after doing a little bit of amendment. Regardless of the method you adopt to plagiarize, it will be taken as an unethical and a cheat act in academic circle. It is therefore crucial that at the very moment you find yourself tempted to plagiarize your academic paper; you kill your liking for it.

Punishment of Plagiarism in Academia:

Academic circle is very strict about plagiarism and a student found plagiarizing is punished as per the following:
  • If the student is a high school student and is found to have committed plagiarism, he or she is very likely to receive a fail on the concerned assignment.
  • If the student is a college or university student, he or she is very likely to receive a failing grade for the entire course.
  • If a student, whether of a high school, college or university, is found guilty of repeated or severe plagiarism, he or she can be expelled from the educational institution he or she is studying in.
Here are some tips to avoid plagiarism:

  • Get to know a little bit of history of the topic you are asked to write an academic paper on. This way you may found yourself interested enough in the topic and would be having thoughts about the topic which can be written in your academic paper. The result = original work.
  • If the topic is already of interest to you, but you are having difficulty in writing your academic paper about, odds are you are not willing to give enough time to think on the topic. With your will power, dedicate sometime alone and begin thinking about the topic. You will be pleasantly surprised to notice that suddenly you are having lots of thoughts about the topic which can be made part of your academic paper.
  • Have faith in your creativity. Whenever you find yourself tempted to plagiarize even just a little bit, say a little bit louder that because you are thinking about the topic currently, you will write a lot better than the text your inner self is tempted to plagiarize.
